Shout "Objection!" to your heart's content
with Gyakuten Saiban 4 ("Turnabour Trial 4"),
the fourth entry in the Gyakuten Saiban series.
Known in the west as the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
games, the Gyakuten Saiban series is known for its
involving storylines, quirky characters, and addictive
courtroom action.
Gykuten Saiban 4 is the first title in the series
developed specifically for the Nintendo DS (the
previous games first saw light on the Gameboy Advance),
and features all new gameplay elements designed
to take advantage of the DS's unique abilities.
One addition is a "zoom" feature, which
allows players to examine witness behavior to see
if they're lying. Characters give off "tells",
revealing their nervousness and letting players
know when to object. In addition, all new investigative
techniques have been added, including fingerprint
scanning and casting footprints.
The biggest change, however, may be the omission
of leading man Phoenix Wright (AKA: Ryuichi Naruhodo).
He's replaced by Housuke Odoroki, a young lawyer
with a talent for reading people's body language.
Among the numerous characters requiring his defense
are a teenage pianist accused of killing a bodyguard,
and a gangster accused of murder. However, Odoroki's
first client just so happens to be the original
Gyakuten Saiban star, Phoenix Wright! Can Odoroki
save Phoenix from the dreaded "guilty"
verdict?
